The response I got from my previous post about me getting back into blogging was really encouraging. Thank you guys so much for your support, yall are just too awesome. If you are just voting this blog, you can check out my come back post here to know why i took a break from blogging.
Happy holidays to you all. I hope you all are enjoying the holiday season regardless of this recession, I mean everything is so darn expensive!!!!
Anyway, today’s post is more like a review/collaboration post I felt I should write about, just because it was my second time of actually partaking in a competition/challenge and I actually won lol!
if most of you guys know Zulaykha or @omotalaniee_ on twitter you would know that she has a blog and she does a November Happiness challenge every year. In this challenge, she publishes inspirational and motivational posts on her blog for 30 days and I was glad I participated. Basically, she picked people who engaged most with each of the posts consistently and gifts them with some awesome giveaway prices and I was honored to be part of the sponsors giving three vintage shirts to some ladies and I also won a gorgeous brown sandal from The Credible Way.
The credible way is a Nigerian shoe brand who is a friend of Zulaykha, He makes gorgeous and high-quality shoes, sandals and caps. I was really happy I got a chance to win his gift bag which contained a lovely brown sandal. his store is located at E-center yaba, yall can also check out his store online www.thecredibleway.com.
I decided to try working on my flat lay game for you all and I’m really starting to get the hang of this VSCO app and I’m loving it. I was supposed to go see Bibi the other day and I decided to pair my outfit with my gorgeous comfortable sandals, but Bibi canceled so I thought.
why not just go take pictures for the blog?
I did! Photo credit goes to my sis, though, she’s really getting the hang of my camera.
so thank you guys for reading and you all can go check out Zulaykha’s blog and The Credible ways store or simply follow them both on twitter and support Nigerian brands, I think they are actually really trying and with our help, they can actually go places and represent Nigeria.
Dont forget to drop your comments in the bos below, i always appreciate your responses.
Been a while I know, my host has been shit and I can’t wait to transfer to another hosting service because I’m so damn tired of my current one!
Anyway, my previous post got deleted with my comments because they had to restore my blog to about a week before so now I have to find a way for you guys to check it out and drop your comments all over, do check out the previous post here.
So I was on twitter jejely when I got a mention from one of my followers who quoted Ric Hassani’s tweet asking for a fashion blogger who would like an to have exclusive pictures of him from his trip to Abeokuta (the Ake festival which I wish I had gone for sadly). So I just thought to give it a go.
If Yall don’t know Ric Hassani, he’s an upcoming musician and his genre is so unique. And I have only heard one of his songs and I must say, he sings beautifully.
So we (Ric and I) got talking on Twitter and I decided to ask him what inspired the photo shoot because he felt at peace and I could feel it. So he said;
Some people always feel like you have to be with someone or find someone to find yourself but, people don’t know there is strenght in alone, there is strenght in ‘self’, you can be powerful when you are by yourself. And ‘self’ is the most peaceful and powerful place.
The whole concept Is my type of photography and I appreciate good photography when I see one, thanks to @xamanijr
Now I want you all to appreciate the next few photographs because they are beautiful.
Ric Hassani seems like a nice and humble gentleman and I hope to actually have a proper shoot with him in the nearest future!

I hope you all are doing great today. I’m just here counting down to when I’m going to be done with my internship and I can’t wait because I need proper rest and I need to have a life lol!
Anyway, some weeks back, roqeeba and i got talking and if you don’t Know her, she is a photographer and a creative one at that. we actually met on Instagram.
So we got talking and we felt it would be nice to do a collaboration so she came up with a phone booth concept. Since the phone booth was invented ages ago so we thought to make it a complete retro theme.
I wore a Black turtle With a vintage shirt. Together with a boyfriend Jean and a black and white platform sandal. I got the sandal at Konga, you can check it out.
She came to pick me up, I mean ow nice was that lol!
This was actually our first time of actually meeting and I must say, we bonded so well Masha Allah.
We headed over to the phone booth at Sam Shonibare, Surulere. I took my new camera along just to check out the quality in broad daylight and of course to get used to it. by the way, I’m starting to find my way around the camera, we have really bonded lol! you can check out the post on the Samsung nx 3oo here.
here are the pictures which were taken at the Phone booth.
When we were done shooting at the phone booth, we started thinking of other cool places to take pictures so we sorta drove around Surulere looking for location and we found this really cool place with really dope paintings on the wall at Adelabu. would have loved to take pictures of all of the paintings but the owner said we had to pay and we got no money. but I already took a few shots before he decided to chase us away lol!
on our way, we met this little girl who was selling pomo (cow hide) and she became our muse. I will be sharing pictures from our shoot with her in another blog post. stay tuned!
All in all, I had a very fun day with roqeeba. when we were done, we headed over to her place so I could get the pictures and then she taught me how to use the lightroom software. using lightroom is actually pretty easy but I just couldn’t help being graphic lol! so I decided to turn some of the photographs we took into some sort of graphic Art. Roqeebah was shocked because this was the first time I would ever use lightroom and I changed the whole game lol! I guess I’m just a natural.notice how I changed the colors of the wall.same wall, different colors lol!
when we were done at Adelabu, we began looking for other places to take pictures again lol! so we got Eric Moore to take these shots.
[Tweet “a Saturday in lere with roqeeba”]

I hope you all are doing great today and yeah who advised Instagram, I mean common! That level of pettiness, though, I’m really thinking of deleting my snap chat because I really can’t have two apps serving the same purpose on my phone, besides I feel with Instagram stories, I have a wider reach and I have a way to engage with my followers or what do you guys think?
So, I’m sharing with you the first ever collaboration with the beautiful Hafsah popularly known as Hafymo on Instagram, you can check her out her blog here .
Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication.
Well, this is my first blog post and I am quite excited. I have been procrastinating on when to start this blog. But like I started my YouTube videos which you can check out here, so I took a deep breath and just give it a go. I didn’t want to start because I wasn’t sure if I was going to have readers who could relate to what I wanted to blog about but I said to myself ” what the heck” I definitely know that if I didn’t start now and didn’t think I’m ever going to.
